03JAN17 – Happy New Year!

  1. Learn a new skill and/or improve an existing one.
  2. Get off the couch – move your body!
  3. Make new friends.
  4. Get out of your comfort zone.
  5. Travel.
  6. Dance.
  7. Have fun!  🙂

Just a few ideas for New Year’s Resolutions, if you haven’t already made any.  You can add “compete in a dance competition”, “learn a routine”, and “join a flash mob” – or just “be a better West Coast Swing dancer” to that list, but really “Have fun!” is the reason most people start dancing in the first place and the best reason to KEEP ON DANCING!

I’m literally writing this in the ballroom at Spotlight Dance Celebration, where the “Awesome Threesomes” made our International debut last night – soon to be available for viewing on Youtube.  We’ll be welcoming new “Next Generation” members to the Team in a couple of months.  Please consider this as a fun way to challenge yourself to try something new – ask any of the Founding Members about the experience.

Now I want to get back to the dance floor!
