18APR16 – You talkin to me?

The Michigan Classic (June 2-5) is one of the most popular out-of-town events for West Coast Swing dancers from Toronto – with Pros from all over the continent (our own Nelson Clarke and John Kirkconnell representing Canada) teaching workshops and available for private lessons; traditional (WSDC JnJs) and whacky, NON-traditional competitions; late night dancing & shenanigans…. You don’t want to miss this!!  Register online NOW for US$119 and let Joanna Swanson know (after you’ve registered) so that she can place you at one of the Toronto tables.

FOOTNOTE – You talkin to me?
You know how teachers address a class saying something like “Leaders: you need to….” or “Followers: try not to….”?  It’s so easy to assume they’re talking to someone else.  What if – even if you’re 100% sure that they don’t mean you – what if you start focussing on the correction as if they were?  Hmmmm?  This was one of the coolest pieces of advice PJ Turner and Tashina Beckman gave to students in their workshops this past weekend in Swingin’ Montreal.  Guaranteed that even if you’re nailing that pattern or concept, your added attention to detail will help to improve your dancing. Try it – yes, YOU 🙂
