After the current series of classes wrap on November 24th we’ve decided to make drop-ins easy (and affordable) – to fit into busy festive season/end-of-year schedules and still provide valuable instruction and an outlet to dance each and every week. I’m still tweaking the schedule but here’s what I’m thinking, at a glance:
Dec. 1st:  WCS*HD – just $15!, WCS*Repertoire – just $10! *FREE* Intro Class – Dancing as usual $5 (or free w/class)
Dec. 8th:  WCS*HD – just $15!, WCS*Repertoire – just $10! Dancing starting at 8:00 p.m. $5 (or free w/class)
Dec. 16th : JUST DANCE – NO CLASSES (Shelley will be teaching Privates) – Dancing from 9:00 p.m. $5 as usual
Dec. 23rd:  WCS*HD – just $15!, WCS*Repertoire – just $10! Dancing starting at 8:00 p.m. $5 (or free w/class)
Dec. 27th:  WCS*HD – just $15!, WCS*Repertoire – just $10! Dancing starting at 8:00 p.m. – JUKEBOX NIGHT!
The calendar on will be updated shortly.

C.A.S.H. Bash and Spotlight
I’m lumping these two together because they’re both *hugely* popular events for our local community.

  • C.A.S.H. is the acronym for Cleveland Akron Swing (and) Hustle, and the “Bash” is a weekend dance party that takes place the last weekend in November, immediately following the U.S. Thanksgiving just outside of Cleveland, Ohio (about a five hour drive from Toronto).  We take over the hotel, a Hilton Garden Inn, which serves an enormous all-you-can eat breakfast buffet each morning – for FREE – and a Saturday night seated dinner, with dinner show. The event features West Coast Swing and Hustle workshops and dancing, competitions, pie-eating (!) and a whole lotta fun.

  • Spotlight New Year’s Eve Dance Celebration is an ever-evolving creation from the mind of Doug Rousar, with some diabolical Pro competitions, workshops, dancing and a flexible schedule: you can choose to celebrate New Year’s Eve with your dance friends in Dearborn (just outside of Detroit, across the bridge from Windsor) or do the NYE thing with non-dance friends and just come to the weekend party.
