All-Star Classes in Toronto!

I had the great pleasure of attending classes on Thursday night with the ‘Dynamic Duo’ (Nelson Clarke and Kyle Fitzgerald), and on Sunday with Shelley Saxena  – and I saw the end of a lesson Joanna Swanson taught in Ancaster on Saturday night. It fills my little West Coast Swing heart with such joy to see the amazing and dedicated local talent we have, sharing knowledge and passion with the community.  Weekend workshops and events are fun and inspirational – and can break through plateaus – but the real results IMHO require regular, weekly classes and practice. We are sooooo lucky!

EXTRA Flash Mob class this week, the usual time: 6:30-8:00 p.m. with Shelley Saxena – FREE to anyone who registered for the series (pay only $5 for the social/dancing starting at 9:00 p.m.) – $20 for drop-ins. Please check in with Gracious Grace 🙂

Please see the calendar for more details
This will be the last *class*. Next week we move to REHEARSAL mode during the usual Repertoire time slot: 7:15-8:00 p.m. (45 minutes only). Everyone, whether enrolled in the Prep Class series or “home-schooled” will pay just $5.  Please let me know if anything is unclear – and thanks everyone for your participation in this fun global West Coast Swing project!!

MIDTOWN BLUES JAM WESTIE BOMB – Wednesday, August 31st
Every Wednesday night Mark Stafford, Ken Yoshioka and friends play *live* at Alleycatz, a cool (in more ways than one) bar-resto on Yonge Street a few blocks north of Eglinton.  I’ve been invited back to teach a West Coast Swing class between sets on the last Wednesday of this month. The music played is a mix of tempos – fun for West Coast/East Coast and Blues.  Great social atmosphere with good food and beverages 🙂
